  It's difficult to fault them. The food is superlative and the service staff support it sensationally. I enjoy dining here because the staff are invariably delightful, the food is excellent and it's a comfortable, cosy and welcoming dining setting.

  I had tasting menu for lunch on 8th October , it was just amazing. If I had another chance to travel Sydney, I would definitely go to Ester again. Food, service, people everything was beautiful.

  My friend and I enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal here on Saturday evening. The service was also wonderful. I would highly recommend the corn starter, the kingfish and the prawns. The cauliflower is a very generous serve and was delicious as well. The raw beef with hot sauce and crisps was nice but not very hot and could have used a bit more kick. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys modern yet simple cuisine with a focus on flavour! I can't wait to go back.

  Recommended for people visiting from out of town, small groups (particularly if you want somewhere nice to catch up whilst showing off Chippendale's finest) and anyone who enjoys eating food that chefs eat!

  Interesting food some dishes hit the mark (Whiting and Roasted goat shoulder) some miss. Share plate menu is sooo socialist, everybody has to eat the same things. Menu selections limited for couples. Half a cauliflower as one dish? Half an eggplant as one dish? And what's with 'pour-over' coffee??? Used to be known as filter coffee and was considered passe 20 years ago. Another place that can't serve espresso.

  Such a beautiful restaurant. Lovely service, very laid back with a wealth of knowledge about the food. Wait staff full of passion but very relaxed. Open kitchen for all to see, Scandic decor. Great place for all special occasions. Highly recommend!! We had the best time!
