We will give this cinema one more chance before dismissing it and heading back to Dendy in Newtown, but on this visit I'd only give this cinema a 1/5.

Great new cinema in the city. The platinum seats are very comfortable and offer better dining options in comparison to Gold Class or Lux. The regular seats though are difficult to find with no numbers on them, and are also very stiff to sit on though you may get used to them with time.

Pepsi? Really? Cold popcorn, less than perfect sound, and a bright light shining between the curtain over the exit. When you're charging $42 a ticket, people notice details. Nice interior design, but that's irrelevant if you don't get the basics right. I'll personally go back to Hoyt's Luxe where I can get hot popcorn and real Coke.

Palace Platinum was fantastic. Have been going to Event Gold Class at George St for years and will very gladly never go back to Gold Class. Unlike Gold Class, Palace Platinum was immaculate, the food was great, staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, it was (very) new, and had a luxury vibe. Very highly recommended and can’t wait to go back. For for record, we saw Murder on the Orient Express.

We've been waiting for this cinema complex to open for months and we were excited last Saturday to finally have our inaugural visit. There is a wonderful bar outside ( part of the complex) and drinks can be taken inside the cinema.

High end feel but only really good for Arthouse movies. I saw Thor and the screen was tiny and the sound was terrible (some walls are glass which explains it). Also some design problems eg seat numbers on the back of the seat?! Fully licensed so would be good for a date night seeing a Indie movie where sound and screen size don’t matter.

The decor inside is stunning but there wasn't a person who could find their seat with ease due to the "hard to find "numbering of rows and then the seat numbers. Finally when you work it out and sit down you realise the numbers are on the back of the seat in front........strange thinking but now we know! There was a bright light overhead throughout the trailers shining directly into our eyes making it impossible for us to see the screen( I'm guessing this was to offer some light to late comers) My thoughts-stuff the late comers, let those in the theatre on time enjoy the previews which we didn't.

The movie started and the audio was appalling. The speakers were facing towards the screen it appeared and I couldn't hear the movie clearly at all. My partner who has hearing problems was even more affected. I'm not sure if the volume should have been higher or there is something wrong with the speakers. We were in Cinema 3 and saw the Agatha Christie movie. We are both dearly hoping it's just teething problems as the complex has recently opened. Fingers crossed too that the audio problem will be rectified soon.
